We’re a trendy, award-winning pet grooming studio in Lower Highland, and we’re looking for a reliable, responsible animal lover with an interest in entering the grooming industry as a full-time bather/groomer’s assistant.
Grooming/bathing experience is unnecessary, however, this position is only suited for a passionate animal lover interested in becoming a pet stylist/groomer after mastering the art of preparation and maintenance.
Those who like a steady work flow and somewhat structured flow to the day would thrive in our one on one style of grooming.
You’ll start off bathing, drying, and getting dogs ready for the grooming table, but you’ll have the opportunity to get an elite-level grooming education from award-winning nationally certified (NCMG) master groomers while on the job. You will learn what it takes to be part of a team and where you work with all the many moving parts to make straight through services work.

Physical demands
Bathing is a physically active job which requires you to be able to stand, walk, kneel, etc. all day and you must be able to regularly lift and move animals weighing up to 50 lbs. In addition to bathing with your bathing team, you would maintain the cleanliness of the salon as a whole but with more specific attention to your general workspace. This would include weekly and monthly deep cleaning tasks. Prepare for a lot of hair. 🙂 Additional seasonal duties include: sweeping leaves, pulling weeds, shoveling snow. It is also a plus if you are familiar with the Pet Animals Care Facilities Act and their Rules and Regulations but it is not necessary, this will be part of your training.
